••• As Irate Youths barricade major Roads
Some residents of Ondo town in Ondo west local government of the state have stormed the streets protest the prolonged scarcity of new naira notes and the rejection of old naira notes by banks.
The residents, mostly youths in Ondo town were seen marching to the street to stage the peaceful protest.
The protest which is taking place at the popular Akure Motor park roundabout as at the time of filing this report has led to road barricade, leading to traffic gridlock on the road.
Tyres were burnt on the road as men of the Nigeria Police are on ground to monitor the protest and it has remained peaceful.
