Aketi's administration of Ondo state is the only state government in the southwest that failed to pay civil servants up to date, unprecedented witnessing of capital flight because local contractors are neglected by Aketi, and there is no functional state hospital in Ondo State but mere referral centres, the state with the highest number of medical doctors' migration in the southwest (according to NMA's statistics), the state with lower yearly WAEC's ranking since the inception of Aketi's administration, University of Medical Sciences Ondo is the most expensive state-owned institution in the southwest, given that kind of state an award as the state with lowest poverty rate is nothing but a mockery of our hard-earned democracy.

Definitely, people behind this charade called award have the wrath of God to contend with and the ultimate sacrifices of our heroes of democracy like Chief MKO Abiola shall cry against them for vengeance

The current democratic dispensation cost some people their lives e.g Chief MKO Abiola and his darling wife, Chief Kudirat Abiola, Alfred Rewane and co. In the same vein, some lucky people, like the late Mr Gani Fawehinmi SAN and others, spent several years in prison, they were void of criminal offences but had issues with the late dreaded dictator of Nigeria, Gen. Sanni Abacha, based on their opinions that Nigeria must be governed by elected officers. 

After two decades of uninterrupted democracy, if these people who paid the ultimate price with their lives were to be given a second chance to choose, most of them would have rethought their previous actions of fighting for the restoration of democracy in Nigeria that led to their untimely death.

No doubt, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, the executive governor of Ondo state has failed in terms of good governance and he's the worst person, out of the privileged few who had piloted the affairs of the sunshine state he is a typical example of a bad state governor. It's obvious that the state has retrogressed in all sectors, the only sector where he can be given some credit is the pioneering the security of the state with Amotekun corp, even at that, everything is shrouded in secrecy, nobody knows the amount expended on the programme so far.

The social media was recently jam-packed with the news that Ondo state is the lowest poverty state in Nigeria, as expected, the disciples of the failed government have started flooding the various platforms with the news.

I stand to be corrected, I don't know the yardsticks used for this unproductive study or survey by this agency of the federal government, it's obvious that it's a failed and shameful adventure. It's crystal clear that these individuals (who conducted the study) haven't visited the state since the inception of Aketi's administration, they just used their head knowledge to give imaginary rating which is void of facts and reality on the ground in Ondo State.

The government of Arakunrin in Ondo State is the only state government in the southwest that failed to pay civil servants and pensioners up to date, there is no single functional state hospital in Ondo state but mere referral centres, the state with the highest number of doctors' migration in the southwest (according to NMA'S statistics), the state with lower yearly WAEC's ranking in the last six years of Arakunrin, University of Medical Sciences Ondo is the most expensive state-owned institution in the southwest of Nigeria, courtesy of Aketi, given this kind of state like ours (Ondo State), an award by a federal agency as the state with the lowest poverty in Nigeria is nothing but a mockery of our hard-earned democracy.

It's also a confirmation that nothing is impossible in Nigeria and all awards given to state governors are bought awards or greek gift awards by favour seekers of people in power, not a true reflection of the performances of our leaders. Definitely, the people behind this charade called award have the wrath of God to contend with and the ultimate sacrifices of heroes of democracy in Nigeria like the late Chief MKO Abiola shall cry for vengeance against them.
