2023: NNPP Candidate concedes Defeat, congratulates APC’s Adesida for Ondo Reps

The Akure North and South Federal Constituency Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP, Niyi Falade has accepted defeat and congratulated Derin Adesida on his victory as the House of Representatives Member-Elect for Akure North/South Constituency, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC.

Falade’s congratulatory was addressed to the one time member of the Federal House of Representatives under the People’s Democratic Party between 2007 and 2011, and was made available to newsmen in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

His congratulations message was coming after the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, declared Adesida as the winner of the election for the federal constituency.

The APC candidate, Abiodun Adesida, emerged victorious in the Akure South/Akure North Federal Constituency.

He polled 45,030 votes to defeat his PDP rival, Kemisola Adesanya, who received 33,789 votes.


The NNPP Candidate who participated in the election, also congratulated the good people of Akure North/South for their comportment and the eventual victory for democracy.

Hon. Derin Adesida, of the APC, defeated other Candidates, after scoring the highest number of votes in the election.

Hon. Niyi Seun Falade “NSF” in the spirit of sportsmanship and for the growth of the constituency, promised to work with the winner of the election, to bring about the needed development to the people.
